In this episode…
-
Customer Journey Mapping for SEO
- Christopher Hoffman introduced an SEO strategy that visually maps out keyword intent in a sideways funnel, making it more accessible for non-technical marketers.
- The method uses Google Search Console to categorize keywords into top (awareness), middle (evaluation), and bottom (purchase) funnel stages to identify gaps in a website’s SEO strategy.
- Victor found this approach particularly valuable and plans to implement it for clients at Ready Artwork.
-
AI-Powered SEO Strategies
- AI Agents were a trending topic at the conference. Unlike general AI like ChatGPT, AI agents can be custom-trained on specific business knowledge, improving customer interactions and automating lead qualification.
- Potential applications include B2B chatbots that enhance customer engagement, qualify leads, and integrate with email marketing funnels.
-
Automated Backlink Negotiation
- A backlink company demonstrated an AI-powered tool that automates backlink outreach and negotiations, reducing manual effort.
- The AI sends automated outreach emails, negotiates pricing in real-time, and secures backlinks at optimal rates—a game-changer for SEO agencies.
-
Global SEO & Industry Insights
- The conference provided valuable perspectives outside the U.S., breaking the “SEO echo chamber.”
- They connected with professionals from Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Singapore, and Melbourne, gaining exposure to international SEO challenges and trends.
- Discussions also touched on iGaming SEO (online gambling industry) and how businesses navigate complex regulations and competitive landscapes.
Application for Ready Artwork Clients
Victor and Emily are eager to test these insights with their team. While some strategies, like customer journey mapping, can be implemented immediately, others—such as AI-driven SEO tools—require more testing before rolling out to clients.

Finalizing our SEO conference recap, I’m joined once again by my business partner and co-founder, Victor Huynh. From our early garage startup to becoming a leading website design company in Los Angeles, Victor has been instrumental in helping businesses grow through branding, digital strategy, and custom WordPress and Shopify websites.
Victor, welcome back to the show!
Victor Huynh: Thank you! Hey everyone, welcome back. It’s been a long but insightful week, especially with the time zone difference and being away from home. Let’s dive in. Emily, any initial thoughts?
Emily Au: I’m a little tired—day and night have been swapped! But I still woke up early to join the team’s debrief and check emails. Today was packed with amazing speakers. We learned a lot! Victor, what was your biggest takeaway from the week?
Victor Huynh: There were several, but the biggest one? AI. It was the elephant in the room. Some see it as a silver bullet, solving all problems, while others warn of its risks. My main takeaway? AI isn’t bad—it just needs to be used wisely. If you don’t use it, you’ll be left behind. It’s a revolution, like electricity, the steam engine, or the internet.
AI is powerful, but you can’t be lazy about it. You can’t just plug something into ChatGPT, copy-paste, and call it a day. Businesses should leverage AI for content creation and automation, but always with human oversight. AI should enhance processes, not replace thoughtfulness.
Emily Au: Agreed. So, should businesses be leveraging AI-powered content creation for lead generation?
Victor Huynh: Absolutely. But with proper strategy. For example, we saw AI-powered CRM tools at the conference that integrate ads, websites, SEO, and phone numbers. Some even use AI chatbots to answer calls if no one picks up, ensuring no leads are lost. For industries with high-ticket products, missing a single call could mean missing a huge sale. These tools are low-hanging fruit that businesses should be leveraging.
Emily Au: Beyond AI and lead gen, another hot topic was personal branding. What’s your take on that?
Victor Huynh: It’s crucial. People want to do business with people. Even in B2B, trust is the deciding factor. We heard from a speaker who built an entire empire by giving away free advice and positioning himself as a leader. In 2025 and beyond, hiding behind a brand isn’t enough—you need a face. The businesses that ignore this shift will start falling behind.
Emily Au: That’s a great insight. So, when we’re back in LA, what’s the first action you want to take?
Victor Huynh: Two things: First, I’m starting a personal YouTube channel. I’ve never had one, but now’s the time. Second, we need to explore the CRM tools we saw at the conference. Some of our clients are using them, some aren’t, but it’s becoming a necessity rather than a luxury.
Emily Au: I’m interested in training my own AI agent. I want to test it, figure out its applications for B2B, and see how it can improve customer service, sales funnels, and post-purchase support while maintaining a high-quality experience.
Victor Huynh: That’s a great plan. Conferences can be overwhelming—lots of ideas, but then you return home, get slammed with emails, and forget to implement them. We need to take action immediately.
Emily Au: Right! One speaker even talked about using AI to write a book, which I found fascinating. And someone suggested you document your journey of building an AI agent on YouTube!
Victor Huynh: That could be fun… or a disaster! But hey, content creation requires thick skin. If you hesitate, you’ll fall behind.
Emily Au: Exactly. One of my past guests, Mary Joy, said it best—just be authentic. That’s what matters most.
Victor Huynh: 100%. Aside from the speakers, what I really valued was meeting people from different parts of the world—Australia, Europe, Asia. In the U.S., we’re often isolated in our marketing perspective, so it was eye-opening to learn how others approach it.
Emily Au: Same here! The best part was the connections—real, in-person conversations. We met marketers from Malaysia, Japan, and Australia working in industries like iGaming and pharmaceuticals. It was fascinating to hear their insights.
Victor Huynh: And seeing the generational gap was interesting, too. We mentioned when we started Ready Artwork, and someone at the table said, “I was one year old when you launched your agency!” It really put things in perspective!
Emily Au: Yeah! And marketing is psychology—you need exposure to different perspectives to build effective strategies.
Victor Huynh: Exactly. So, any final thoughts?
Emily Au: This conference reinforced the importance of face-to-face connections. Moving forward, I want to prioritize networking and content creation.
Victor Huynh: Agreed. If you’re listening, my advice is: put yourself out there. Conferences take time and money, but the value is worth it. Life is short—go out, learn, and connect.
Emily Au: Well said. That wraps up today’s episode. Thank you all for joining us! If you enjoyed this, subscribe to the RAW Spotlight for more insights on website design, SEO, AI, and digital marketing trends.
